Finding the Next Generation of Norman Borlaugs to Help Feed the World

Daniel P. Finney writes about an experience that a previous intern for the World Food Prize, Meredith Nelson Legg, had with Norman E. Borlaug and the World Food Prize Youth programs. Legg felt her passion wasn't in plant science and was nervous to tell Dr. Borlaug. When the two discussed it, Borlaug explained that many fields of study can contribute to the fight against hunger. Ambassador Quinn further says, "There is not one answer to that problem, nor is there just one discipline that will lead us to that goal."
