Ambassador Quinn reflects on Christmas Eve 1982 when his family was assigned to Vienna, Austria. He recalls that the first Christmas in Vienna for the Quinn family was not a glamorous one as they had hoped, but despite bad luck, they ended up having a very Merry Christmas.
