Norman Borlaug Centennial Award

This commemorative woven portrait of Dr. Borlaug was presented to the World Food Prize by the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute of Iran in recognition of Norman Borlaug’s legacy as a great agricultural scientist. Ambassador Quinn delivered the keynote address at the symposium organized by ABRII in Karaj, Iran to commemorate the centennial of Dr. Borlaug's birth, in which he emphasized the role that collaboration in confronting hunger can play in promoting peace and understanding between nations. Ambassador Quinn is the only former senior U.S. official ever invited to speak in Iran.
