George Washington Carver Distinguished Service Award

Ambassador Quinn was the recipient of this award for an array of humanitarian efforts and his dedication to global food security. In addition, his devotion to educating and inspiring the next generation of young students in the grand tradition of George Washington Carver was recognized. This award was presented by the George Washington Carver Birthplace Association at a dinner at Iowa State University, from which Professor Carver graduated. Paxton Williams and Catherine Swoboda made the presentation to Ambassador Quinn.
