Creation of World Food Festival in Des Moines Announced in 2005

At a press event at the Iowa Historical Museum, World Food Prize President Ambassador Kenneth Quinn joined with Ms. Mo Dana in announcing the creation of the World Food Festival, which would be scheduled to take place each year in conjunction with the Awarding of the World Food Prize. This collaboration was the result of a special agreement between Ms. Dana and Ambassador Quinn, designed to highlight the many international cuisines available in Central Iowa.
