Borlaug Medallion Presentation to Yohei Sasakawa

In 2010, Ambassador Quinn traveled to Japan to take part in a Global Food Security Symposium, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Tokyo. During that event, he presented the World Food Prize Norman Borlaug Medallion to Mr. Yohei Sasakawa. Dr. Borlaug had spent three decades working with the Sasakawa Foundation to bring the Green Revolution to Africa. U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Tom Vilsack, participated in the award ceremony.
