2011 World Food Prize Laureate Announcement Ceremony at U.S. State Department

World Food Prize President Ambassador Kenneth Quinn reveals the names of the 2011 World Food Prize Laureates at a bipartisan announcement ceremony in the Benjamin Franklin Room on the eighth floor of the U.S. State Department. Under Secretary of State Robert Hormats, a former colleague of Ambassador Quinn at the National Security Council, served as the State Department Host at the event. Also participating were Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack, USAID Administrator Dr. Rajiv Shah, World Food Prize Chairman John Ruan III and Janis Ruan, Le Son Quinn and Laureate Selection Committee Chair Dr. M.S. Swaminathan. In attendance were Former World Food Prize Laureate Senator George McGovern, Congressmen Leonard Boswell, Tom Latham and Steve King.
