In September 2019, Ambassador Quinn presided over a press conference at the Hall of Laureates at which he announced RW and Mary Nelson, the founders of Kemin Industries, as the recipients of the Robert D. Ray Iowa SHARES Humanitarian Award. The award would be presented at the Iowa Hunger Summit in October.
