A Third Political Dynasty Impacted by Iowa in 1980

In addition to the significant impact on both the Kennedy and Bush political dynasties in the 1980 Iowa caucuses, Amb. Quinn describes how a third political dynasty was affected by Iowa in October of that year. That political dynasty was of the Xi family from China. In October, a delegation of Chinese governors paid a visit to Iowa as part of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Amb.
