Obtaining information to help keep a country safe is a difficult assignment for any group. During his time as ambassador in Cambodia, Amb. Quinn tells of how his small embassy staff diligently worked to gather intel and keep Cambodia stabilized. This achievement grabbed the attention of the intelligence community in the United States, especially the Director of Central Intelligence. Amb. Quinn and his staff at the embassy were then honored to receive the distinguished Exceptional Political Reporting Award three straight years, the only embassy to do so.
