After leaving the Foreign Service in 1999, Amb. Quinn began his career working with the World Food Prize in Des Moines, Iowa. While with the World Food Prize, Amb. Quinn gave speeches to various colleges and universities around Iowa. Amb. Quinn recalls one instance in particular after giving a talk at Grinnell College. A student approached him and asked what Amb. Quinn remembered most during his time with the Foreign Service. Expecting Amb.
