Strong foundations buttress Sino-US ties, expert says

September 8, 2020 Amb. Kenneth Quinn

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kenneth Quinn, retired president of the World Food Prize Foundation and a former US diplomat, received two packs of face masks from China, one from Professor Yuan Longping and the other from friends in Hebei province. He shared these masks with healthcare workers in Iowa, emphasizing the importance of ongoing friendship between China and the United States. Quinn believes that collaboration between these two countries is essential to address global challenges like hunger and poverty, stating that when China and the US cooperate, they can overcome difficulties and build a lasting partnership based on people-to-people friendship.
