Honoring Simon N. Groot at the 2019 Laureate Luncheon

The concluding event of the Borlaug Dialogue Symposium is the Laureate Luncheon held on Friday of World Food Prize Events Week. At that event, John Ruan III, the Chairman of the World Food Prize Foundation, joined with Ambassador Quinn in presenting the Laureate Diploma and a symbolic of the handing over of the "check" for the $250,000 World Food Prize cash award. This would be followed by a special interview of Mr. Groot about his career and achievements. It was conducted by Dr. Molly Jahn of the University of Wisconsin, a longtime advisor and collaborating with Mr. Groot and his company, East-West Seed.
