Honoring Dr. M.S. Swaminathan

In August 2019, Ambassador Quinn traveled to Chennai, India to participate in a special program honoring Dr. M.S. Swaminathan, the first World Food Prize Laureate, on the 30th Anniversary of the founding of the M.S. Swaminathan Research Facility (MSSRF). Ambassador Quinn delivered a keynote presentation and joined in dedicating a new historic display at the MSSRF, which annually hosts a Borlaug-Ruan International Intern. Also present was Ms. Dian Li a former World Food Prize intern and staff member.
